Solutions for Solar Power Generation:
Solar power is a clean and renewable energy source that helps you save money and protects the environment. McNaughton-McKay can design solar electric systems for homeowners, businesses and municipalities. We aim to provide the best quality products and services. Reliability and longevity are built into the world-class photovoltaic (PV) solar cells and modules we distribute.
How does solar energy generate electricity?
Solar energy generates electricity through the use of photovoltaic (PV) or solar modules which convert the sun’s light energy into electric energy. After passing through a component called an inverter, the direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar panels is converted to alternating current (AC), and connected directly to the building power distribution system. The electricity generated works just like the electricity delivered by your local utility.
What can McNaughton-McKay provide in terms of solar PV solutions?
McNaughton-McKay’s Engineered Solutions Group can assist you with the following:

Wind Power Solutions:
Wind energy is one of the fastest growing power generation sources today. Countries around the world are all investing in wind farms to harness this highly sustainable energy resource. Wind provides outstanding performance per dollar invested, and as a result energy companies are making plans to build new and expand existing wind farm operations. Knowledge of construction requirements, specifications, and partnerships with consulting firms, manufacturers, and distributors like McNaughton-McKay, will be critical to winning projects.
McNaughton-McKay has the expertise, resources and industry partners to deliver an integrated electrical, networking, and predictive maintenance solution designed to address the unique needs and challenges of the wind energy industry. Our comprehensive wind energy solutions include generation, electrical infrastructure solutions, industrial networking, and condition monitoring. We offer several advanced-technology small and medium wind products that let homeowners, businesses, and communities generate their own clean power. This energy offsets the power consumed from the grid, and in many cases can produce more than the site requires providing a net credit on your utility bill. McNaughton-McKay provides urban and suburban businesses and homeowners in favorable wind environments an effective solution for lowering energy bills and reducing carbon emissions- helping to preserve the environment. Energy Efficient Legislation:
In December of 2007, the U.S. Congress approved the Energy Independence & Security Act which was a ground breaking piece of legislation that marked a seismic shift in American’s energy policy. The new law put innovation, efficiency and entrepreneurship at the top of America’s 21st Century energy agenda. Key features of the law include increased vehicle fuel efficiency, a boost in home-grown biofuels, economy wide efficiency solutions, greenhouse gas reductions, and green collar jobs for American’s working families. Together these measures will save American consumers $400 billion, create new jobs, and cut global warming pollution. The Energy Independency & Security Act represents a plan to move American forward, toward a more affordable, sustainable and secure energy future. This law was the catalyst to new innovations in manufacturing and expanded tax incentives.
