Cooper Crouse-Hinds’ Liquid-Tight Product Line Offers Many Options

The Cooper Crouse-Hinds liquid-tight product line offers high-quality, high-performance fittings designed to the toughest standards and integrating the latest technology to ensure reliability, durability, and reduced installation time and cost. Users may choose from Cooper Crouse-Hinds Liquidator, LiQuik, zinc-die-cast, nonmetallic, or low-profile liquid-tight fittings. Whatever the need, these fittings will stand up to the most demanding wet or corrosive environments.

Typical applications for liquid-tight conduit and liquid-tight fittings include the wiring of machine tools, motors, transformers, food-processing equipment, robotics, air-conditioning units, illuminated store-front signs, and billboards. The flexible metallic conduit and fittings protect conductors from mechanical damage due to vibration and movement, and they seal out cutting oils, coolants, water, and dust.

The liquid-tight line is UL-listed and cUL-certified, meets NEC and UL requirements for use in wet locations, and reduces downtime and replacement costs. Liquid-tight fittings come in a wide range of sizes in straight, 45°, and 90° styles. They are available in steel, aluminum, zinc-die-cast, or nonmetallic construction; with or without insulated throats; and with aluminum or copper grounding lugs.

The Cooper-Hinds Liquidator series is available in either malleable iron (Liquidator) or copper-free aluminum (Liquidator Aluminum LT-SA). The malleable-iron version comes in diameters of ⅜”–6” and straight, 45º, or 90º configurations. The aluminum version is available up to 4” in diameter and in straight or 90º configurations. Both are appropriate for tough, corrosive, industrial applications.

Cooper Crouse-Hinds LiQuik fittings are quick and easy to install in just two steps. They offer huge labor-saving potential and are available in trade sizes ⅜”–2”, either straight-insulated or non-insulated.

Cooper Crouse-Hinds zinc-die-cast liquid-tight conduit fittings come in both insulated and non-insulated versions. They are available in sizes ⅜”–4” and with straight or 90° connectors.

Use Cooper Crouse-Hinds nonmetallic liquid-tight conduit fittings with nonmetallic Type B liquid-tight conduit and flexible nonmetallic tubing to terminate and seal conduit to a liquid-tight, oil-tight, or rain-tight box or enclosure. Used in applications such as wiring motors, transformers, processing equipment, and pumps, the nonmetallic liquid-tight connectors are made of nylon construction that is corrosion-resistant and UV-rated for long outdoor life. They are furnished with a zinc-die-cast lock nut and sealing ring that seal out water and other corrosive liquids and feature a no-spin ferrule that allows for easy installation (no disassembly required). The fittings are available in two styles, straight and 90°, in trade sizes ½”–1”.

Low-profile liquid-tight fittings are designed specifically for applications that require close side-by-side mounting of multiple liquid-tight fittings in tight spaces. They are constructed of steel (straight fittings) or malleable iron (angle fittings) with nylon gland-nut sealing rings and polypropylene sealing gaskets.
