McNaughton-McKay Supports Green Initiative

The clamor to be more environmentally responsible is everywhere. It seems as if we cannot pick up a publication, turn on the TV, or go online without hearing or seeing someone imploring us to “go green” or take steps toward greater energy efficiency. Although this heightening of environmental consciousness is positive, it can also cause confusion. With such a bombardment of messages, it is hard to determine which ones to listen to, and many individuals and businesses wonder how they can make the most beneficial changes.

McNaughton-McKay can help wade through the confusion and help customers find ways to save energy and make other efforts toward preserving the environment. As an electrical distributor, McNaughton-McKay is uniquely positioned to have a significant impact in this area. We feel we have a responsibility to our customers to help educate you about “green” products and services, and it is our hope that you will be able to turn these ideas into revenue-generating opportunities and at the same time do what’s right for the environment. With our knowledge and experience in the areas of lighting, power, energy management and recycle, we stand prepared to support you in any number of applications.

Internally McNaughton-McKay is working to reduce waste, decrease our energy usage, and increase our awareness of the little things that can have a big impact. We encourage conservation in our facilities by going paperless, recycling, and cutting down on energy consumption. We are working every day to improve green processes and procedures. 

Becoming a good steward of the environment cannot be achieved in a single action, but needs to be a part of our everyday lives both at work and at home. In order to make a lasting impact, we must start in our homes and expand that effort into our workplaces.  We encourage our customers to try to identify ways you can reduce the amount of waste generated and the amount of energy you consume.

By starting with small changes that can add up to substantial changes, we can all have a major impact on our environment that will benefit future generations.
