Control Logix Processor Basics

This workshop is an intermediate level course. It will familiarize someone who has PLC experience with the ControlLogix processor. PLC instructions (XIC, XIO, OTE, normally open, normally closed, or coil, etc.) are NOT presented. This workshop is approximately 40% hands-on but is not a complete maintenance or programming course. The concepts and exercises covered are: hardware architecture, program structure, local I/O tags (addressing), tag types, data types, program downloading, configuring a system in software, and program entry using RSLogix5000 software.

Ethernet TCP/IP for PLC Technicians

This workshop is an intermediate level course. It will extend working knowledge of Data Highway Plus and DH485 into the world of Ethernet-TCP/IP LANs. This workshop is approximately 20% hands-on and is not a complete maintenance course. The concepts and exercises covered are Protocol; Topologies; Cabling; Plug & Jack wiring; Addressing; Hubs; Switches; Routers and elementary trouble-shooting.
