Fluke Ti-Series Thermal Imagers: High-End Performance, Significantly Lower Cost

Fluke offers a complete line of hand-held thermal imagers, ranging from the basic Fluke Ti20 to the high-precision Fluke IR FlexCam series, at significantly lower costs than one would expect. The Ti20 is intended for technicians doing route-based infrared inspections and everyday maintenance, whereas the IR FlexCam series is designed for predictive-maintenance experts, process engineers, and consultants who need the best thermal imager available.

Thermography, or thermal imaging, detects heat patterns or temperature changes in objects. These changes allow the user to discover problems prior to costly downtime or to monitor developing problems so maintenance can be scheduled during a planned downtime or when the budget allows for it. Thermal imaging is often referred to as the first defense in a predictive- maintenance/preventative-maintenance program or a building-restoration or -remediation project.

Fluke thermal imagers (sometimes referred to as infrared imagers, thermal cameras, or infrared cameras) capture fully radiometric infrared images using patent-pending IR-Fusion technology. Fluke’s IR-Fusion, the only fusion product in the industry that is viewable both on camera and in the software, has five main viewing modes, making it easier to detect problems.

Fluke Ti20 Thermal Imager
Representing a price/performance breakthrough in thermal imaging, the Fluke Ti20 lowers the entry threshold for infrared-imaging technology. The Ti20 has a 128 by 96 detector array and a temperature range up to 350ºC (662ºF), and it provides three hours of continuous operation per battery charge (there are two batteries included with the package). Designed for industrial applications, the Ti20 puts the capabilities of thermal imaging within the hands of service and maintenance personnel who know the facility and equipment best.

Easy to use, thanks to one-handed “point-and-shoot” operation and intuitive on-screen guidance, the Ti20 does not require specialist training to obtain accurate measurements. Just point at the target and focus the instrument, and it automatically adjusts the temperature range to show a crisp image. When the user pulls the trigger, the unit stores the image and associated measurement data. The included software allows key image-parameter adjustments to optimize the image and extract maximum detail without going back to the factory floor.

The Ti20 offers a safe and easy way to identify problems and reduce unplanned downtime. It instantly provides non-contact temperature images to quickly determine hot spots; offers fully radiometric data for detailed temperature analysis and tracking of critical components; and comes with InsideIR software, which provides a complete solution for analysis, reporting, and routing. The large color-LCD display presents an uncluttered image with data and routing instructions.

Implementing a predictive-maintenance program using the Fluke Ti20 can significantly reduce unplanned production downtime, resulting in better labor productivity, reduced scrap, and smaller replacement-part inventory. Establishing an effective IR predictive-maintenance program is straightforward, and the InsideIR software facilitates the creation of inspection routes that can be uploaded to the instrument. With clear step-by-step on-camera routing instructions, any maintenance technician can perform the inspection.

Fluke Ti40 and Ti45 IR FlexCam Thermal Imagers
The Fluke Ti4x models feature everything needed for virtually every thermography task. With a 160 by 120 detector array and a temperature sensitivity of 0.08ºC (NETD), they deliver high-resolution images where even the smallest temperature differences can be seen. The units are extremely easy to use through the Windows CE menu structure and offer an extended troubleshooting feature set to allow on-the-spot analysis in the field.

The FT models feature the innovative IR-Fusion technology. IR-Fusion captures a visible light image in addition to the infrared image and takes the mystery out of IR image analysis. It helps to better identify and report suspect components and enable the repair to be done right the first time.

Fluke Ti50 and Ti55 IR FlexCam Thermal Imagers
Choose the Fluke Ti5x models when you need the best images. They feature 320 by 240 detector arrays with industry-leading thermal sensitivity (≤ 0.05°C NETD) for high-resolution, ultra-high-quality images. In addition, with a 60-Hz detector, acquisition-rate temperatures are displayed live on the large 5-in. color display.

The Fluke Ti-series thermal imagers offer a tremendous amount of technology at a very affordable price.
