WEG’s WG20 Helical Geared Motor is Energy Efficient and Easily Retrofitted

7/22/2022

The WEG WG20 helical geared motor is a coaxial unit where the unit's output shaft is in-line with the motor shaft. If you have an application that requires a motor that runs at slow speed/high torque the WEG WG20 is the helical geared motor for you. The helical, parallel-shaft, and helical bevel gear unit design is built with rugged pressure-cast aluminum housing that is rated up to 600 NM and the grey cast iron housings are rated from 800 up to 18000 Nm. They are available in energy efficiency classes up to IE3. With high power density and energy efficiency, these geared motors are reliable and have a long-life cycle with low maintenance. The industry-standard mounting dimensions and international certification allow for easy retrofitting. It is ideal for applications where machines are used to process timber, or the motor is used to power presses, conveyor belts, rotary tables, pumps, packaging machines, bakery equipment, lifts, looms, and screw conveyors and screw compressors. The WG20’s design allows for easy integration into your existing systems. The two smaller gear units (C00 and C01) can perform at full potential with just two stages. You will benefit from lower operating costs, maintenance and life cycle costs, and higher system availability. If your application requires a higher torque range, WG20’s larger sizes C03 to C08 are available in both two and three stages. You will benefit from lower operating costs, maintenance and life cycle costs, and higher system availability.
