This course provides you with the skills required to use FactoryTalk® AssetCentre software to maximize your control system investment and manage assets effectively. Throughout the course, you will learn how to design a FactoryTalk AssetCentre system, install and configure the software, secure access to the control system, track users' actions, manage asset configuration files, provide backup and recovery of operating asset configurations, and troubleshoot your system using FactoryTalk AssetCentre software. After completing this course, you should be able to design and implement a FactoryTalk AssetCentre system, including how to install components of a FactoryTalk AssetCentre system, configure FactoryTalk AssetCentre system components, create and execute workflows in FactoryTalk AssetCentre for fundamental system functions, and configure security in a FactoryTalk system.

This course will provide you with an overview of the various FactoryTalk® Historian tools for collecting data. You will learn how to configure a FactoryTalk Historian Site Edition system. The course also covers how to use Microsoft Excel to create and modify FactoryTalk Historian tags. During the course, you will learn how to apply exception and compression to filter data to be archived. Also, you will be given an opportunity to compare the use of Polled versus Advised data collection modes. Data buffering, layers/methods of redundancy, archive management and backup will also be covered.

In this course, you will learn the various tools used to analyze and display data using FactoryTalk® VantagePoint EMI. The course covers how to use the analysis and reporting tools to create Trends, Excel Reports, and Dashboards. You will have an opportunity to use the Portal and configure it to display content in various ways, including mobile devices.

This course provides you with the skills necessary to maintain and troubleshoot FactoryTalk® View Machine Edition (ME) applications that run on PanelView™ Plus 7 terminals. This course provides opportunities to work with both the hardware and software.

After completing this course, given a computer with FactoryTalk® View Machine Edition (ME) software and a PanelView™ Plus 7 terminal, you should be able to produce an operational application running on the terminal.

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to organize and develop FactoryTalk View Site Edition (SE) applications. This course provides opportunities for you to work with local FactoryTalk View SE applications. During class, you will have the opportunity to practice the skills used to create an application and build graphic displays.
