SAF-TUV1 Functional Safety for Machinery Introduction

Review design and proof requirements for the functional safety of machines and see practical examples of machine guarding and protection techniques. This course (no exam/no certificate) prepares you to understand safety device and component assembly and application. It is the critical prerequisite for SAF-TUV2T and is highly recommended that participants spend 6 months after completing this course to prepare for the SAF-TUV2T class and exam. For more details, contact a McNaughton-McKay training specialist.

SAF-TUV2T Functional Safety for Machinery Engineer Certification

Building on principles established in SAF-TUV1, this training reiterates technical requirements for functional machine safety, with practical examples of the assembly and application of safety devices and components. Students will learn safety measures to implement at their facilities, quality assurance techniques and how to document lifecycle design and validation. Attendees will receive their certification after completing the 5-day course and passing the exam.

NOTE: McNaughton-McKay does not provide safety standards to course attendees. The following standards are RECOMMENDED for participation in SAF-TUV1 and REQUIRED for SAF-TUV2T:
