Micro800: The Right-Sized Controllers from Rockwell Automation

10/17/2025

When standalone machines need smarter and faster performance, the Micro800™ Controller Family provides a solution that can fit the needs of both small and large standalone applications. With flexible and versatile connectivity, functionality and features, these PLCs allow users to scale their experience with the use of plug-ins and I/O modules.

Combining your Micro800 Controller with an HMI from Rockwell Automation’s PanelView 800™ series creates a full control and visualization solution to meet the needs of any small application. As a singular programming environment for your controllers and visualization devices, Connected Component Workbench™ (CCW) software makes it even easier to set up and deploy your custom application.

Micro800 Controllers

Scalability makes it possible for devices to fit the needs of any application, whether that’s a small, programmable relay-style controller or a high-memory controller with expansion IO. Micro800 controllers deliver scalable automation solutions that use high-density digital and analog IO and Plug-in modules to reduce footprint. Micro800 controllers now support Class 1 implicit messaging for up to 8 Ethernet/IP devices, allowing for direct Ethernet communication to VFDs, remote I/O, and other Ethernet-based peripherals.

Features & Benefits

  • CIP™ Serial, DF1, Modbus RTU and ASCII
  • EtherNet/IP™, Modbus TCP
  • Class 1 Ethernet
  • Pulse Train Output (PTO) Axis Programming
  • High-density I/O additions through expansion modules
  • Plug-in modules allow for extension of I/O without increasing footprint

Panelview 800

PanelView 800 series HMIs are cost-effective, easily integrated visualization solutions that fit any need when creating programs for the Micro800 Controller family. These versatile products connect and increase visibility for your factory’s standalone machines with touchscreen functionality, keypad control and scalability between micro and small systems.
