A Flexible, Less Complex I/O System

1/23/2026

POINT I/O™ from Rockwell Automation® has been a leading remote input/output (I/O) system in industrial operations for decades. PointMax™ I/O architecture builds on that success with improvements designed to make this product line even easier to configure and use in modern machine and process control applications. PointMax I/O modules are slimmer and have a wiring diagram on the side that includes the required Removable Terminal Block (RTB) part number and other part details. The Ethernet adapter supports 16 modules of any style and the expansion power supply enables the seamless addition of up to 16 more modules of any combination. PointMax modules support Removal and Insertion Under Power (RIUP) technology to make maintenance easier and reduce downtime. For optimal flexibility, this line supports Device Level Ring (DLR), star, linear, and Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) network topologies.
