This course is a skill-building course that provides you with a basic understanding of AC and DC motor and drive concepts and terminology. You will learn about more advanced programming methods and instructions, project execution and optimization, controller project security and event logging, and tools available in the Studio 5000 Automation Engineering & Design Environment®. This course prepares you for the Advanced Logix 5000 Programmer certificate exam, which is included in the course price. Upon completion of this course, given a functional specification for a Logix 5000 application, you should be able to develop a highly optimized project to meet detailed specification requirements.

This course provides information on the basic concepts of direct current (DC) electricity and magnetism, including electrostatics, basic circuit concepts, and measurement of electrical quantities and associated numerical concepts, Ohm’s Law, practical circuits, electromagnetism, and electrical measurements. There are hands-on exercises for device operation and simple circuit construction and analysis.

After completing this course, given a newly installed CENTERLINE® MCC with IntelliCENTER® software, you should be able to produce an operational motor control system over an EtherNet/IP network.

This course prepares students to successfully design and configure an efficient DeviceNet network using components for the ControlLogix® platform. To meet this objective, students begin by designing a cable system, and then configure a driver, a 1756-DNB scanner module for ControlLogix, and network devices.

This is an in depth electrical safety course that covers electrical safety including LOTO and arc flash that meets the training requirements specified in OSHA 1910 and NFPA 70E.

In this course, you will learn how to verify communications between devices, recognize data transmission types, and differentiate between OSI Model Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching functions.

You will resolve issues with communication between devices on a network. You will troubleshoot an EtherNet/ IP network’s media and components (including the Stratix 5700 switch); run diagnostic tests to resolve system and port issues; and perform common functions such as resetting the switch

This course will provide you with an overview of the various FactoryTalk® Historian tools for collecting data. You will learn how to configure a FactoryTalk Historian Site Edition system. The course also covers how to use Microsoft Excel to create and modify FactoryTalk Historian tags. During the course, you will learn how to apply exception and compression to filter data to be archived. Also, you will be given an opportunity to compare the use of Polled versus Advised data collection modes. Data buffering, layers/methods of redundancy, archive management and backup will also be covered.

In this course, you will learn the various tools used to analyze and display data using FactoryTalk® VantagePoint EMI. The course covers how to use the analysis and reporting tools to create Trends, Excel Reports, and Dashboards. You will have an opportunity to use the Portal and configure it to display content in various ways, including mobile devices.
